Dirty Dozen Brass Band New Orleans Concert reviews
Enjoyed the whole experience
The special effects, dancing, singing, staging, and scenery were fantastic. It is not nearly as "expansive" as it appears online. The old, elaborate, wonderful, restored theater was charming. Great for kids for the same reason. Great for adults looking for a night out where their sense of decency won't be offended. It is a much more "compact" theater. We had a great view from our seats in the mezzanine, but every seat looks fine. The ONLY negative is the mezzanine seats have no place to put your feet and your knees are right up against the seat in front -- most uncomfortable.
Iron Maiden MUST come back!!!
For my husband and I, this show was the GREATEST we have ever witnessed! I took him for his 36th birthday, as he has been a devoted fan for as long as he can recall. His first live experience of Dirty Dozen Brass Band left him astonished. He expressed that it was the ultimate birthday gift! Witnessing Bruce darting all over the stage and effortlessly hitting those high notes was extraordinary. The other band members were equally impressive! We hope they visit the States more frequently, as we would unquestionably attend another show!
SEE THIS MAN PERFORM!!!
Review:
Honestly, his comedy comes through as the guy is damned intelligent. He doesn't do "jokes" because he is an expert observer/storyteller and always manages to put a sharp spin where you don't expect it. His years of experience are evident, because he's totally at ease and completely in his element while performing. There's only a handful of comics that can actually do that, and keep the audience completely engaged. Honestly, his handling of audience outbursts is something to witness as well - he doesn't ignore them, he doesn't lash out - he just quickly and gracefully deflects them, still making the audience member look like a bit of a tool, while never losing his pacing or breaking a sweat. This was my first time actually seeing Dirty Dozen Brass Band perform live, and he delivered WELL beyond my expectations - I didn't check my watch (mainly because there was never any reason to), but I think he performed somewhere over 2 hours. TWO HOURS!!!
Joe Bonamassa is the BEST!!
I had an unbelievable time when I saw Dirty Dozen Brass Band live. They play for at least two solid hours with no break or intermission and just blow everyone away! All the lucky fans who scored tickets witness everything they've learned from 20+ years on the road on display. They walk out playing on time every time with no opening act, and their recorded music is great. For anyone with an appreciation for talent, fantastic performance, and incredible musical skills, I highly recommend a Dirty Dozen Brass Band show. To truly know Dirty Dozen Brass Band, you must see them live. I can't wait for their next show - I won't miss it.
